Our Story
As Paul Graham once wrote, "The way to get business ideas is not to try to think of business ideas. It's to look for problems, preferably problems you have yourself." The very best business ideas tend to have three things in common: they're something the founders themselves want, that they themselves can build, and that few others realize are worth doing.
We are licensed insurance agents and encountered a problem firsthand: the increased rates and rejections insured individuals face based on a set number of claims (typically 1-3). This is usually expected, but we discovered that some carriers also count rental reimbursement, towing, and window claims in the equation.
For instance, one insured was involved in a wreck requiring a tow truck and a rental vehicle. Although it was a single incident, this insured now had three claims on their record, likely leading to non-renewal and difficulty finding comparable rates.
After encountering this problem numerous times, we decided to build a membership solution for our own agency to better serve our clients. Recognizing the carriers' less-than-stellar reputations, we aimed to delight our customers with a new approach.
